Jodi Foster’s acceptance speech at the Golden Globes was fascinating. It was heartfelt, rambling, sometimes funny, sometimes angry. I was surprised when she more or less came out. I thought she had already come out years ago. What I did appreciate was her resentment at a pop culture that feels celebrities are obligated to divulge personal lives.
