Habitat Magazine: Chasing down fees.

It’s been a good year for picking up new clients. Chad Townsend called for Habitat Magazine which is a New York based magazine for the co-op and condo community. Chad is an enthusiastic art director when it comes to illustration so it was very easy to say yes when he called. His assignment was a story about techniques for chasing down tenants who have not paid condo or coop fees. I imagine keeping track can feel like herding cats so a metaphor of “herding birds” from a city rooftop seemed like a playful image to show a frustrating problem. Sometimes the best ideas are metaphors which are “incorrectly” remembered.
